Mission Statement
To ensure highest scientific and ethical standards of health and biomedical research and promote the rights, dignity, safety and protection of researchers, research participants and the entire community.
The Northern Tanzania Health Research Ethics Committee is one of the zonal based instruments to address research ethics issues in Tanzania. Since its inception in 2016, the committee has been evolving through series of milestones only to mature in 2018 following approval by theNational Medical Research Institute in February 2018. The core institutions forming the Committee are: Kibong’oto Infectious Diseases Hospital, Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology, and Centre for Educational Development in Health, Arusha(KIDH-NM-AIST-CEDHA). read more... |
